This high-energy event promises to be a feast for sneaker aficionados, showcasing not only the latest and greatest in sneaker fashion but also putting enthusiasts head-to-head in an epic battle of style and creativity.This Art Basel, get ready for a clash of kicks like never before as Sneaker Shootout Miami presents WALK THIS WAY V: The Ultimate Sneaker Battle, set to kick off on, Friday, December 8th 2023 at Black Box Media Miami, 12355 NE 13th Ave. Units 403-404, North Miami, FL 3316 from 8 PM to 12 AM.
Walk This Way VI (WTWVI) will feature a diverse lineup of sneaker enthusiasts, collectors, and influencers who will go toe-to-toe in an exciting competition to determine who reigns supreme in the world of sneaker style AKA The Sneaker Gawd/Gawdess. Contestants will bring their A-game, displaying their most coveted, rare, and unique sneakers in a battle that transcends conventional fashion norms. Attendees can expect an electrifying atmosphere as contestants present their curated sneaker collections, each with a unique narrative that reflects their personal connection to sneaker culture. The event will feature celebrity judges and special guest appearances, adding an extra layer of excitement to the competition.
Walk This Way creator and Sneaker Shootout founder King S. Jewell, a self-proclaimed “Sneaker Gawd,” created the event to highlight and pay homage to sneaker enthusiasts like himself.
“While speaking with other sneaker collectors, it was brought to my attention that there was no real presence of a sneaker community represented here in Miami,” said Jewell. “I also believe that sneakers, fashion, and art go hand-in-hand, and should be recognized on a larger scale. This is my humble attempt to integrate the sneaker world with the art world.”
In addition to the main battle, Walk This Walk V will include interactive zones where attendees can create content for their social media, shop with vendors, as well as engage with sneaker-related brands and artists while DJs spin the hottest tracks. The event aims to create a vibrant community where sneaker enthusiasts can connect, share their passion, and discover the latest trends in the sneaker world.
